So the first one is the original wooden Dutch carving, second one is my lovely wife's work!! It turns out she's very good at fine work and colour mixing! So pleased to finally get these on the organ!!

Very excited to have finally received sone genuine Dutch carvings to embellish the front of the Pell organ. It's been over a year since I assembled it but I've finally got the time to get the decorative stuff done for this year's busy rally calendar! I was even fortunate enough to get hold of three really nice figures which my lovely wife Naomi has taken charge of painting! I will also be at the Southern Counties Organ Festival in Devizes in June as well as several rallies along the south coast throughout the summer!

As I do each year I'm supporting Littlehampton Bonfire night by playing in the town today from 10.30 till about 3. Cone down and hear the Pell organ belting out some tunes!! Then I'm in the parade tonight on the mini steam engine! 👍😁👻🎃

When I first owned an engine there was an end of season steam rally at Exbury Gardens home of the Rothschild's as Leo was fanatical about steam. When he passed away it stopped but this year the railway guys have managed to persuade the family to allow it to run again. So I took the organ to the station and had a nice crowd of appreciative listeners! A good day out.

Very excited to have two outings of the new Pell organ over the next two weekends. This Saturday I will be supporting Littlehampton Bonfire Society fund raising in the town centre from 10-2. Then next weekend (14th/15th) I am attending the Diss organ festival in Suffolk. Lots and lots of organs of all sizes all over the lovely town of Diss. Come along and enjoy the tunes and atmosphere!!!

Enjoying the spring sunshine at the Viables Centre in Basingstoke for the BDMES rally. Surprise appearance by Kevin Cousins with his organ so took the opportunity to link the two! Kev's has been on numerous road runs and transported 100"s miles in the trailer and still in perfect tune!! Awesome!!! 👍👍😁😁

Luckily everything survived yesterday's storm, hope everyone else is safe and well!? Quick update video on the assembly progress. Due to the efforts of the previous owner all the components to put this organ together easily were supplied. This has meant that I have been able to get to playing state with the minimum of fuss! Both drums and wood block installed as well the glockenspiel. A nice bouncy little number here to show off the sound. And a number of events already on the calendar including the Diss organ festival in May! Can't wait to actually get out and about!

The weekend lets me make more progress on the trailer organ! Finished off riveting the hatch, positioned and secured the case and starting install the pipes. Looking towards the season I think I might manage to get about 12-15 outings with it!!

After finally tracking down someone who would make a hatch at s sensible price it was delivered this morning and within a few hours I'd fitted it!! My Pell organ project is gathering pace and will definitely be out playing this summer!! Next is fitting the actual organ and then trying to decide what to do about the case regards painting! 🤔🤔🤔
