Well done to Graham Didcote for last weeks efforts 🎣

"Just back from fishing the 2nd round of the WL on the Wye.
Was handed peg 74 on the railings, not a flyer but ok. It's also a very short run to the next peg where I had James Robbins for company.
Set up bolo with 6g rig for 1/3 to 1/2
9m and 6m Cadence whips
4g choppie line.
Groundbait was 40% Evolved Baits Big River 40% River and Drain 20% soil, packed with h**p, casters, corn and meat.
Fed 10 big balls on the whip line and 5 smaller balls on the bolo line.
Started on the bolo with corn on the hook and was into fish straight away, chublets and odd roach. Fished this for about 90 minutes before switching to the 9m line, but switching to maggot, this wasn't solid but steady. Had a good middle hour, but then a pike arrived and unsettled the fish. Had to keep switching lines to keep fish coming.
Ended up with 150 fish chublets, dace and roach for 29lb 12oz and a thanks for coming.
The river has fished its head off again.

"With the opportunity to get out fishing I thought id try for the barbel for the first time in several years. I headed to a stretch of the Warwickshire Avon where i last fished and had an 11.12lb PB so i knew there may hopefully be a few still about. Baiting little and often with 'pudding mix' from Evolved Baits to a nice deepish glide on the far bank. Hair rigged krill boilie with slightly longer hair to avoid the chub finally paid off. As i packed away at 8.30 this 10lb beaut gave a great account for itself and gave me back the barbel bug back."
