🌺 Could you help us create the next poppy?

Our Poppies Project, in partnership with Lichfield Cathedral, launched on 4th May this year and, thanks to our amazing community, we've already created over 6,500 poppies!

Our goal is more than 120,000 poppies for a spectacular display inside Lichfield Cathedral during Remembrance in 2027.

Whether you knit, crochet, sew or embroider, we'd love you to get involved.

Our free Community Stitch Sessions are open to everyone. You don't need any experience, you don't need to bring any materials, and you'll always find a warm welcome. Come along, learn a new skill, meet friendly people and help create something truly special for our community.

For the last four years, people have been asking us the same question...

"Do you sell your fabrics online?"

Our answer has always been...

"No."

Not because we didn't want to, but because we genuinely believe fabric is something you should be able to touch.

You need to feel how soft it is.
You need to see the true colours.
You need to compare one fabric with another.

Buying fabric from a tiny photo on a screen has never felt right to us.

So... instead of creating an online fabric shop, we've spent the last few months creating something completely different.

Introducing our Fabric Collection Packs!

Each pack contains 80 real fabric samples (approximately 3" × 4"), allowing you to see, feel and compare our latest Summer Collection from the comfort of your own home.

When you've chosen your favourites, simply contact us with the fabric codes and quantities you'd like. If you'd like help choosing coordinating fabrics, we're only a phone call or message away.

The pack costs just £8, including postage, and you'll receive an £8 credit to use against your first fabric order of £40 or more (excluding postage).

It's the closest thing we could think of to bringing The Fabric Vault to your living room. ❤️

🌻 Is this one of those lessons you've been meaning to book?

Our Sunflower Wall Hanging course starts tomorrow, and at the moment we still have spaces available.

Every time this project comes out in the shop, people stop to admire it. It brings a smile, brightens up the room and proves that patchwork doesn't always have to be traditional colours and designs. Sometimes it's just about creating something that makes you happy every time you walk past it.

Over four relaxed sessions with Kim, you'll create your own beautiful sunflower wall hanging while learning appliqué, decorative quilting, Dresden Plate techniques and lots of little tips that you can use in future projects too.

The best part? You don't need to rush. We'll guide you through each stage, one step at a time, so you can simply enjoy the process and watch your sunflower bloom.

We've got some exciting news to share...

Sew Relaxing has found a new home! 🧵💕

Over the last few months, we've been searching for the perfect new venue for our sewing retreat days. We knew one thing from the start – if we were going to move, it had to feel right.

We weren't looking for the biggest venue or the fanciest venue. We were looking for somewhere that felt like The Fabric Vault.

Somewhere calm.
Somewhere welcoming.
Somewhere people could leave the outside world behind for a while and simply enjoy sewing.

The first time we walked into Marston Farm Hotel, we just looked at each other and smiled. We both had exactly the same feeling...

"This is it."

It's a beautiful little country hotel with such a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and the team couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Before we'd even left, we were already talking about where we'd put the sewing tables and imagining everyone happily sewing away with a cup of tea beside them.

The heart of Sew Relaxing hasn't changed at all.

It's still your chance to spend a whole day working on your own projects, chatting with fellow sewists, enjoying delicious food and giving yourself permission to switch off from everyday life for a while.

From morning refreshments, buffet lunch and afternoon cup of tea with freshly baked scones, to unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day and a relaxing two-course evening meal... once you arrive, everything is taken care of. All you need to do is enjoy your sewing.

We honestly can't wait to welcome everyone to our new home and start this next chapter of Sew Relaxing with you.
