It has taken me a while to get posting again… life stuff took over with my parents becoming one parent, which I have decided not to edit in my post.
So I’m sorry for the slightly out of sync message as we actually announced our ‘Closing Down’ in the shop a little while ago!
When I look back over the 26 years, The Laurels has been the constant through the most complicated time in our lives ‘the middle bit’ and as it happens, with Phoebe’s birth and my dad Terry’s death as bookends.
I had never set out to have a shop but I am so happy that it worked out that way as our lives have revolved around it and all the people that have been part of its story, I have been so lucky and quite honestly without whom I would not be here.
There is obviously one fundamental reason how The Laurels has been on the High Street for this length of time… it all of you, everyone, whether you bought a card, a cat or a coat… so the biggest thank you has to go to you.
