After a long & hard think about things I have made the decision that after I put through my current fundraiser order next week, I will sadly be unable to continue my little business.
This has been a very difficult decision, and one I don’t take lightly at all, but one that unfortunately has to be made. I have loved this journey from start to finish & would love to continue doing some themed gifts etc, but realistically this is not something I can keep up with. My own health keeps me from being as available to this business as I should be, so it is unfair to my customers to go on.
From a few bumps in the road with sponsored events, to the fact that from the beginning I have put any profit I make right back into the business in order to give my customers the best deals, and then leaving myself out of pocket when I get orders that don’t end up getting paid for, as well as moving into a smaller property where I just don’t have the space for any of these left over orders or even stock. It has just become a little bit sad for me and I feel it has lost the spark that I started it with - to get books into kids hands which I am so passionate about.
It has been a great pleasure to raise money and get books to kids in places such as Victoria Hospital Sick Kids, Square Start Fife and MCCI, and none of that would have been possible without the help and support of each and every one of you. Whether you are a loyal customer or just share a post every now and then, truly, thank you. Taking some time as this is a hugely emotional decision for me, this has given me something to focus on for around 3 years now. But now I need to focus on myself💓
I will be posting any stock I have left over for sale in the coming days and will put away one last order if you would like to have a look and let me know if you’d like anything.
This is not goodbye, it’s see you later.
