🌟 We're Looking for Charity Shop Volunteers! 🌟

Could you spare a few hours a week to make a real difference in your community?

We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our amazing team in our charity shops. Whether you enjoy meeting new people, serving customers, sorting donations, creating eye-catching displays, or helping behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteering is a great way to:

🛍️ Gain valuable retail and customer service experience
😊 Be part of a supportive and welcoming team

No experience is necessary—just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Full support and training will be provided.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

We are delighted to announce that our second charity shop will officially open on Monday 15th June at:

📍 30 Union Street, Leigh, WN7 1AT

If you're not sure where Union Street is, we're located just down the side of Heron.

Our new shop will be stocking a wide range of items, including:

📚 Books
📀 DVDs
👕 Clothing
🛋️ Furniture
🛏️ Bedroom Furniture
⚪ White Goods

We would love to welcome many of our regular customers through the doors, and we look forward to meeting lots of new faces too.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you'll call in, have a browse, and help us celebrate this exciting new chapter for our charity.

We are pleased to announce our 2nd Charity shop on Union Street, will be opening very soon. 😀

The shop on Bradshawgate will be concentrating mainly on food and pets, with our usual cheap and free food available 6 days a week.

The new shop will be for dvds, clothing, furniture, white goods and bric a brac, and will be open same days/times as Bradshawgate. ❤️

We hope you will all pay the new shop a visit soon 😊

Our shop is now taking orders for large sacks of bird seed or dog food.
Available for pre order and available in 1 week. We can also deliver orders for a small fee if you order more than 1.

Brand new pet section now open in the back section of our shop on bradshawgate. Bird seed and small animal feed is now available in either 1kg bags or by the sack ( sacks are available to order ).

Do you have old pound coins, foreign coins from holidays, or loose change sitting in a jar at home?
Instead of letting it gather dust, donate it to us!

As a charity, we can send old and foreign coins away to be exchanged — turning your unwanted currency into vital funds to support our work with vulnerable people in our community.
Every coin really does make a difference.

If you’d like to donate, please drop them off at HSP Charity shop, 63 Bradshawgate or the venue, 19-23 Charles Street, or message us for more details.

🎉 Funding News for HSP Leigh 🎉

We’re pleased to share that HSP Leigh has been awarded National Lottery funding, which will support our work over the next three years.
This funding will help us to:

• Continue providing food and meals to people facing hardship
• Support our walk-in and street engagement services
• Provide practical help, advice, and signposting for people in crisis
• Maintain our day-to-day running costs so our services remain reliable and accessible

This longer-term funding gives us greater stability and allows us to plan ahead while continuing to meet growing local need.
