Supporting an important cause in our local community

We're proud to support an important local fundraising initiative organised by Brad Norris, raising funds for the recovery and future care of Leicestershire man Liam Moore, who suffered life-changing injuries following an attack in Leicester city centre.

As part of the fundraising efforts, a Family Fun Day is taking place on Saturday 15th August at Barlestone St Giles Football Club, with free entry and plenty happening throughout the day. Pyramid International has donated a selection of KPop Demon Hunters merchandise to support the event and help with its fundraising efforts.

Supporting our local community is incredibly important to us, and we're happy to play a small part in an initiative that will make a meaningful difference to Liam and his future care.

Our Annual Wellness Walk 👣

On Saturday 18th of July, members of the team took part in a beautiful yet challenging walk in the Cotswolds, organised by Business Development Manager Ian Thompson.

This year, we took it one step further (pun intended!) by raising money for Mind Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.

It was a great day spent catching up outside the office, getting some fresh air, supporting an important local charity and, of course, finishing with a stop at the pub! 🍻

Well done to all involved. Small, positive changes really can make a difference to our wellbeing.

This Month's Pyramid Perspective highlights Sam, our Royalties Accountant 👨‍💻

Working behind the scenes with data, Sam’s role is all about finding the best way to make things work.

💬 “The best part is using problem-solving skills and creative thinking to find the best ways to manipulate data to reach the desired outcome.”

Sam shares how creativity plays a bigger role than people might expect in a finance-based role, combining analytical thinking with practical solutions.

If he could swap roles for a day, it would be a tough choice between negotiating deals or getting stuck into the creative side of the business.

🎬 “I’d swap with Mordy to try to negotiate deals with my favourite movies and shows, or someone in the design team to come up with ideas for merch.”

Outside of work, that same mindset carries through, from recreating board games using Python to sharpen his programming skills, to constantly finding new ways to challenge himself.

On the product side, there’s one clear favourite:

✏️ “Erasable gel pens… they come in very handy when I’m revising for my Open Uni exams, as there are mistakes aplenty!”

And when it comes to fandom, Sam is firmly in the Star Wars camp, with plans to take on the ultimate challenge:

🚀 "Watching the entire Star Wars canon in chronological order and become fully up-to-date!"

If he could step into any fictional world, it would be the Hoenn region from Pokémon, combining adventure, technology and of course, living alongside Pokémon.

And dinner? Someone entertaining is a must.

Sunshine, BBQ, karaoke and great company... our Summer BBQ had it all!

Last Friday we swapped the office for the sunshine and spent the afternoon celebrating with colleagues, friends and family.

From delicious brisket fresh off the BBQ to an incredible Bake Off competition (congratulations to our winning Rhubarb Gingernut Cheesecake!), there was plenty to enjoy throughout the day.

There was karaoke from start to finish, football games, a Jurassic Park Jeep, brilliant music, and lots of smiles from our younger visitors too.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped organise such a fantastic day, to everyone who baked for the competition, and to every single person who came along and made it such a memorable afternoon.
