The OK Comics signing and launch event of the year!

Join us on Thursday 18th June from 4pm to celebrate the launch of Gigs by Mark Mosedale (you’ll know him from years behind the OK Comics counter) and Si Smith (local artist and all round gem)!

A.I. has absorbed the labour. Jobs have fractured into gigs. Regular people are left patching together survival in a world that no longer considers them. These are the lives caught in between.

Set in an uncomfortably close future where Basic Income is topped up by app-assigned gig work, Gigs follows six intersecting stories: an elderly punk and an isolated young worker finding freedom through music; a street artist who creates under cover of darkness only to erase it by day; a washed-up detective pursuing a case into a forgotten city; a courier tasked with a long, unsettling delivery; a writer counting the days aboard a crumbling space station she cannot escape; and a refugee searching for aid in the last place still beyond control.

Gigs is both a stark warning about the systems taking shape around us and a stubborn, hopeful testament to the humanity that survives in the margins.
