✨ Big News! OWunique is now on Facebook! ✨
This entire year has felt so surreal. After graduating university, I threw myself into freelance and volunteer work to build my portfolio. I was so grateful for the job offers that came after graduation, but they all involved travelling abroad for months at a time and that just didn’t feel right for me or the life I wanted as my plans in the next few years is to buy a house and to start a family.
So, with a bit of courage (and a lot of motivation to bring my master’s project to life), I decided to start advertising my business OWunique on Etsy and suddenly everything took off. From editing people into photos to adding names onto street signs, I found myself creating gifts for people all over the world. I was thrown into the deep end and was keeping up with the big Etsy companies that have countless of employees and facilities. Whilst it was just me and my little laptop.
This year has been full of late nights, long days, and working every day and even on holiday on the beach. But it’s been worth it as everyday I get to work with customers from all different walks of life, to help create gifts their families will cherish forever. I’ve now reached nearly 800 five-star reviews in just one year, and every single one has brought a tear to my eye. I never imagined I’d receive so much love and support.♥️
I’m beyond grateful for my family and for Lewis, who have been by my side through every moment of stress and self-doubt. This little project has turned into something bigger than I ever expected. 🙏🏼
