This Sunday, Besbrode Pianos welcomes BAFTA-winning comedian and pianist Alistair McGowan for a very special conversation with rising classical pianist Ellis Arey.

Ellis's story is extraordinary. From growing up in poverty in Meanwood, Leeds, to performing on Channel 4's The Piano and becoming one of Britain's most exciting young classical musicians, his journey is one of resilience, determination and the life-changing power of music.

Throughout the afternoon, Ellis will perform three live piano pieces while Alistair explores the moments, challenges and opportunities that shaped his career.

We're also delighted to welcome members of Music House Leeds, whose work continues to transform lives through music.

Alistair McGowan has stepped in to lead the questions with Ellis Arey for our upcoming event 'Working Classical Hero'.

Join us for an hour of music and conversation. Listen to two remarkable musicians from very different generations in a candid discussion about talent, resilience, opportunity and the transformative power of music.
