Thanks very much to everyone who came to have a browse or bought a book from me on Saturday. It was great to take part in the amazing Xmas fair at my children’s school and it was a really lovely 2 hours. Hats off to everyone for all their hard work, to make it such a success. 🥰🎄

I’m very proud of the group of children who took part in my school’s readathon in March. Their efforts have earned them this fantastic selection of books for their school and classroom libraries.

60% of the money they raised became additional free books from Usborne and now they have over 250 new ones to enjoy.

There’s a great selection of titles here with lots of colourful graphic novels to attract even the most reluctant of readers. I can’t wait to take them to school tomorrow! 😍👏📚📚

Was very sad to hear the news about Peter Usborne yesterday. But what a legacy to leave behind. 📚📚📚❤️👏

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our beloved founder and chairman Peter Usborne CBE. Peter passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his family.

Peter was an exceptional publisher, an inspirational leader and a lovely man. He will be incredibly missed by his family and everyone here at Usborne.

Nicola Usborne, Peter’s daughter and Usborne’s managing director said “My dad always felt that he’d had the absolute best life, and that publishing for children for 50 years was the greatest privilege he could imagine.”

I'm delighted to say that I've started a new teaching job this term and so my time and energy has been spent getting our house into the new routine and settling myself into a new role. I'm also really pleased because I'm going to be helping my new school organise a sponsored read for World Book Day (March 2nd) and get some fabulous new Usborne books for our school library. 😍👏

Yesterday my family and I drove down from Moray to stay with my husband’s parents for Christmas, and now we can finally relax for a few days with all the shopping and wrapping done! The kids did pretty well sitting in the car for 5 hours with the big day just 2 sleeps away. This was mainly achieved through very regular snacking and giving them control of the Spotify playlist for most of the journey!
