Now roasting a new iteration of Prototype pairing a yeast inoculated Colombian from Edison Argote with a Natural Ethiopian from the Hamasho community in Sidama. This brings out loads of fruit notes like melon, blueberry and peach with brown sugar sweetness and a cakey Battenberg note.

Just Landed - Konyu Peaberry

Plum / Redcurrant / Butterscotch

Named after the a local mineral spring, the Konyu factory processes cherries hand picked from 540 smallholders, grown at high elevations on the slopes of mount Kenya. As part of the Kabare farmers co-op, a strong emphasis is placed on supporting its farming community through transparent payment systems and long-term sustainability initiatives like careful water management and the use of clean river water during processing.

This particular lot, while the classic Kenyan SL28-34 varietal, is also a peaberry. A natural mutation resulting in one bean per cherry and a satisfying little rounded shape.

Now serving barista milk in our cafes. Not only does this milk create a creamier micro-foam that persists longer and tastes great, it’s better for the planet and comes from just up the road near Hornby.

The addition of Jersey cows to their heard of Holstein Frisians means their milk has more protein and butterfat compared to regular milk, perfect for creating silky milk for latte art.

To maximise the welfare of their cows they have freedom to choose, to stay indoors on a rainy Lancashire day or roam the fields.

Brades have also been pioneers in climate smart cows! In 2018 they became the first dairy farm globally to feed Mootral to their herd. This is a natural feed supplement designed to help combat climate change by reducing methane emissions from ruminants by up to 30%. Come in and give it a taste!
