Marie Rutkoski, Ordinary Love - teen love rekindled later in life, with the added complexities of work, marriages, controlling partners.
I read another Rutkoski last year, Real Easy (s*x workers band together to solve the mystery surrounding on of their colleagues at the strip joint being murdered. Also in the shop), and it was a compulsive, tightly written story, featuring very well-rounded characters. A copy of Ordinary Love might make it to my tbr.

Brandon Taylor, Minor Black Figures - a painter and a priest fall for each other during a summer heatwave in NYC. This has been billed as the swoonworthy romance of the summer since it came out in February.

A fab collection of short love stories that celebrate the many shapes love takes across the world.

Mikaella Clements and Onjuli Datta, Feast While You Can
Read it on a cruise, was the best book on the holiday. Lesbianism. Vampirism. Yearning. Underrated. Should be a bestseller. Absolutely stunning

Tony Santorella, Bored Gay Werewolf
Imagine being a listless, apathetic newly independent adult, having to navigate love, rent and being self-sufficient. On top of that, you're also a werewolf. Dry humour that ribs the everyday struggles of modern life. Thought it was going to be way more pretentious, but was surprised by it's grounded comedy and style.

Mikaella Clements & Onjuli Datta - Feast While You Can. A customer at pride said they wanted to buy a book but were on a ban, so asked if they could buy a book for someone else. They paid for FEAST WHILE YOU CAN and insisted I put it back on the shelf for whoever comes for it next.
If you're into le***an vampires, there's a free book waiting for you on the stall today.

I like that people keep doing this - it's a heartening little moment of community building.

Up and running (probably stupidly) at the uni market today - it's really a mini-market as there's only 4 of us here. Come visit and try to make the traders regret their choices a bit less

📢🏳️‍🌈 If you're at this weekend, a little gay bookshop will be with you on Saturday and wants to bring as many books as possible. Sadly, only so many will fit in the car and some copies will have to stay in book jail. So I want you to tell me which ones we should pack extra copies of and ask you have a little browse of the full selection pictured here. Tell me titles you're interested in, want to get your hands on, even want to reserve for collection during Pride.

Little shop set up for Pride in STEM, showcasing a range of q***r science. I may have brought too many books for the space, so the romances and other genre fiction are currently under the table.
