When it’s time to say goodbye 👋 to a window display. This geranium window with our lovely vintage vase & fresh geraniums was an ode to .atherleylondon We absolutely love her pelargonium ( geranium) skin care & home range & more importantly so do our customers!!! For those of you that have not discovered this brand it is our beloved she of the fabulous prints that were incredibly popular back in the day. Cath was featured on a few weeks ago and it was wonderful to see her in her beautiful geranium filled green houses. It’s wonderful to have a passion in life & most of us can totally empathise with passions associated with gardening & flowers. C.Atherley range makes wonderful presents but also for your own home. It smells amazing and is 98% natural. Bye bye geranium window & well done for surviving this heat! Tomorrow we are UV film protecting the window & products so the whole lot including the logo has to be stripped out!! .atherley

To the garden centre! Luckily the roof comes down. Never ceases to amaze me just how much you can squeeze in. ( luckily). We’re hoping to do ‘Downham Hall Open Gardens’ on Sunday, so I needed some hydrangeas ( didn’t realise I needed the rest 😉). I’m sure you find yourself doing the same ???

Aside from Gardening, this is what we do on a day off! Extra special as this is the first tipple for 6 months for me ( not him) thanks to excessive amounts of pain killers for slipped discs & nerve damage. The trials of an independent shop owner! I’m sure many people out there have suffered the same. I’ve never had anything like it!!

All things Bloomsbury! Bit of an obsession with Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant , Roger Fry, Vita Sackville- West et al. Also Lee Miller ex Vogue model who lived in the same village as me down in East Sussex. Gathered & Garner is based betwixt & between Lancs, Lakes , Yorks have Bloomsbury will travel! Excellent brand new book on Roger Fry by lovely hand painted mugs, jugs & mini vases by the perennial favourite patterns books on gardens and art & Happy reading and tea supping!
