Due to (ahem) a few technical hitches, the first of our monthly musings (originally published in January) to celebrate our centenary year is linked below. We intend to issue the series to include historical reflections, celebrations, themed lists, a fully-fledged catalogue (due out in spring) and much more. Watch this space. Booksellers have many strings to their bow, but I must admit, sheep whispering is an unusual one. Alongside bookselling, Julian has been volunteering at a local animal rescue centre, and the book below is the result. It details his experiences there and various encounters with animals around the world. With a beautiful foreword by Chris Packham, and digressions (naturally) on the book trade, this is a gentle & uplifting read. See Ju's live video for order details.
