In early July, we're expecting to receive a loudspeaker that we are very excited about: Audiovector's R 5 Arreté. Engineered and hand-crafted in Denmark, it challenges expectations by redefining what a loudspeaker of this size can achieve. Following five years and more than 2,000 hours of listening during development, the R 5 is the first model to incorporate technologies inherited directly from Audiovector’s flagship R 10 Arreté.
The stunning new speaker is built around a true 3.5-way architecture. Two bass drivers operate in carefully differentiated roles: one covering the full bass range, the second dedicated solely to the deepest frequencies. The midrange remains completely uncompromised – clean, fast and transparent. In the bass and lower midrange, the R 5 generates a line source-like effect, distributing energy across the listening space to form a forceful, controlled and room-filling wave. This is bass that is both heard and felt – deep and powerful, from a loudspeaker of remarkable elegance and control.
Each cabinet is designed, engineered and hand-built in Denmark. The narrow front baffle minimises edge diffraction for a more precise and transparent soundstage. The new Arreté plinth, together with its precision-milled spikes and integrated decoupling system, eliminates unwanted resonance at its source.
Every surface is finished to an exceptional standard, combining the warmth of carefully selected real wood veneers with enduring quality. The R 5 Arreté is available in Black Piano, White Silk, African Mahogany Piano and Italian Walnut. Custom paint finishes are available on request.
This loudspeaker hits the sweet spot. If you'd like to be one of the first to hear it, contact us to book a demonstration.
