The Dr Oetker Community Kitchen Bus is travelling across the UK, bringing families together to bake, connect and enjoy family time. Next stop is Hull! On 26th September.

They’re inviting local families of all sizes, backgrounds, cultures and circumstances to join them for a completely free, fun and welcoming baking experience, with a special guest host joining on the day. The footage will be used in their upcoming campaign.

Summer Family Shows at Stage at the Dock, the open air theatre on Fruit Market Hull start tomorrow! We love this venue, it's a really unique place to see a show.

We had a fantastic day at The Deep last weekend!!

We’ve loved visits here from my kids being babies, tots and tweens. Visits last a bit longer now, my 12 year old stopped to read everything this time (when they were younger it was just a race through to get to the shark tank!). It was a really enjoyable, educational visit this time, we all got to learn a lot and spent ages watching the amazing creatures swim by.
It took around 2 hours to get around all of the displays with 3 tweens.

The biggest hit with Mr Mumbler was a new section we'd not seen at the end - the pump room! A space for learning about how the tanks are run and maintained, I can see some serious upgrades coming to our garden pond now!

Visiting here always holds a special place in my heart - I actually went into labour with my daughter around the Amazon section when I was there with my then 3 year old, having what would be my last day out just with him.
My kids are so lucky to have had this amazing place to grow up with 😍🦈

Mumbler reviews.... The Pink Pig Farm !
Mumbler reviewer Katie took her 1 and 3 year old for their first visit to this fab farm park near Scunthorpe last weekend.

We were amazed by how much there was to do, it's a full day out, and for the entry fee we thought it was a really good value day out. The site is a good size but you are never too far from anything, which is perfect for little legs.

Indoors there's a soft play, role play and cafe areas.
Outside there are loads of places to play! With sandpits with water play, go-karts, big bouncy pillows, a toboggan ride, plenty of play areas.
The farm animals were a big hit and it's was a lovely pram friendly route. Donkeys, alpacas, pigs (of course), ducks, chickens and a very large turkey were spotted!
There are extra events every weekend which is an added bonus, and a daily foam party which was a new experience for us!

My daughter had a great time this morning at a Healthy Holidays Hull session!
We did an athletes session at Live It Hull Costello stadium, run by the lovely Fitmums & Friends

This one was for ages 10-15 years - they did high jump, discus, lots of running and then had a free lunch!

LOVE Hull 😍
Such a fab, fun weekend in the city.
We've enjoyed some of the free activities, visited some amazing attractions and just enjoyed being out in the sunshine in the city centre ....

We tried a character skate session and dodged the heat at Hull Ice Arena.
We saw loads of amazing sand art and fun maritime characters for free in Queen Victoria Square (catch these every weekend in August).
We went to The Deep and had a really good look around (with tweens we can actually now stop and read everything!)
We discovered a great new independent shop Ebb & Flo in Trinity Market Hull ideal for a pocket money choose, and had great street food in the market too.
We mooched around the marina and Fruit Market Hull, got an ice cream for the kids at Tasty and a drink for the grown ups at Minerva.

There's always something new to see and do. Feeling very grateful we live here and have sunny summer weekends just to explore 😍

Yesterday we tried one of the character skate sessions at Hull Ice Arena !!

It really elevated a normal ice skating session - the disco lights, music and characters skating around with you was great fun.
There’s was also face painting off the ice.
This was a K Pop themed one, there’s another on 22nd august that’s pirates and fairies themed.

A perfect activity for a hot day, it was sooo cold inside and such a lovely respite from the heat ❄️
