It was not long before he was well again and loved living in Scotland so much he wanted to start up his own wee business and decided to setup his very own page

offering a selection of Gift items and a selecction of Scottish Theme Gift items that can be sent Worldwide.

Wave machine

Glenfield and Kennedy designed, patented and built a wave-making machine for Kilmarnock’s swimming pool, which was opened in 1940. The machine made waves that constantly changed shape. It was an instant success and thrilled generations of children from Kilmarnock and beyond. The idea was to market the device world wide, but war intervened.

Howard Park Hotel

The Howard Park Hotel was opened at Glasgow Road, in 1975 on what at the time was the northern tip of Kilmarnock. For more than 25 years it was the largest and most significant hotel in Kilmarnock. The Hotel was given a refurbishment in 1988 but it closed in 2010 and after lying derelict for some time the building was demolished in 2014.
