The Reuse Shop - Killin

The Reuse Shop - Killin The Reuse Shop is a community run thrift shop. This a Killin and Ardeonaig Development Trust project. Currently cash only - card machine coming soon!

It is a Killin and Ardeonaig Development Trust (KAT) project and proceeds support other projects such as the Old Mill, and RecyKillin, which also offers a Tool Library and Community Fridge. As we rely on volunteers, opening hours are subject to change. Cash is available at the Post Office on Main Street and the Co-op on Lyon Road. Accessibility:
There is a fixed wheelchair ramp at the entrance to

the shop. There is a threshold in the doorway (2cm) but it is a smooth bump and can be navigated in a manual wheelchair. The shop is small but rails are placed so wheelchair users and users of small mobility scooters can get around. Some shelves are above seated height but staff are always on hand to provide assistance. Covid-19 information:
To protect our volunteers, we ask that customers wear a mask (unless exempt) and use the sanitiser provided.

Don't forget to check what's in the Community Fridge - open 12-4pm on Saturdays.

As part of our expansion plan, we are aiming to make the Reuse Shop a retail 'destination', putting Killin on the map for people who love thrift shopping (and other types of shopping and eating out, of course).

If you enjoy visiting and shopping with us, we would be so grateful if you could spare a few minutes to leave us a Google review - it would help more people find us on Google Maps - https://g.page/r/CUrs-DjohXfaEBM/review

Anyone who leaves us a review in the next 8 weeks, will be entered into our prize draw to win a £20 voucher to spend at the Reuse Shop.

RecyKillin - Tool Library is hosting a professional PAT testing training day on Monday, June 22, at Fassiefern for our volunteers. Apex Scotland is providing the training and can accommodate another 2 people at a cost of £200 per person (this is a slight discount from the usual cost as KAT is paying for the trainer's travel expenses).

Here's some information about the course: https://www.apexscotland.org.uk/training/gaining-employment-in-your-area/

Please email [email protected] if you are interested.

Participants will learn practical skills and information relating to electrical safety and how to record equipment test results.

Our sales room next door is now closed as the KAT - Killin & Ardeonaig Community Development Trust staff move into the space.

The Reuse Shop is moving into the space at the back of Fassiefern but it will be a few weeks until we have it fitted out so please bear with us. We may not be able to take donations during this time - please call the shop or check the door signs ahead and I will try to keep Facebook up to date.

Thanks for your patience and understanding and we look forward to the next exciting chapter for RecyKillin.

The next door sales room is open for one more day and will close after Saturday afternoon (June 6). So grab the bargains while you can.

It will be a few weeks until we have the back area fitted out so please bear with us. We may not be able to take donations during this time - please call the shop or check the door signs ahead and I will try to keep Facebook up to date.

We won't be taking donations on Saturday as it's the tea party - games, cake and a blether... The atmosphere in the shop will be cheery even if the weather isn't, thanks to Eleanor, Jane and Mary who are hosting.
