🧶 Invisible seams are one of my favourite finishing techniques✨

I love being able to join knitted fabrics without reaching for a sewing needle. By picking up side stitches and knitting sections together directly on the machine, it creates a neat, almost invisible join that works beautifully for intarsia and many other projects.

What I particularly like is that it can also rescue a project when calculations are slightly off and a little extra width is needed. Sometimes the simplest techniques turn out to be the most useful!

Do you prefer knitting pieces together as you go, or sewing them together afterwards? 🧶

I think I may have just discovered the pattern for my next project 😊 I absolutely love the combination of texture and delicate lace details — it feels soft, elegant, and full of character.

Now I can’t decide… would this look better as:

🧶 a summer top
🧶 a shawl
🧶 or something completely different?

How delicate can it knit? 🧶
Very delicate indeed! With fine yarn and a low tension setting, knitting machines can produce beautifully fine fabrics. Delicate and elegant tops, scarves, lightweight garments, and even underwear are all achievable ❤️👍🧶

✨ Exciting Changes at Metropolitan Machine Knitting ✨

We are very excited to share that we are currently working on rebuilding and redesigning our main website to support a new direction and vision for Metropolitan Machine Knitting 🧶✨

Over time, our page has naturally grown more and more into teaching, sharing techniques, tutorials, and helping others learn machine knitting. We have decided to fully embrace this path and begin gathering our learning materials, lessons, tutorials, and educational directions together in one organised space.

During this exciting transition period, we may post slightly fewer videos than usual while we focus our time and energy on building this new platform and preparing future content. However, we will absolutely continue posting videos, tutorials, and lesson materials throughout the process ❤️

We are incredibly excited to see how this new chapter develops and grows. Our goal is to create a welcoming space focused on learning, creativity, and support for knitters of all levels.

We will also continue working with Skool and other learning platforms and resources as part of this journey.
