Worked for Sheffield Local Authority in the Libraries and Archives department from 1988 - 2006 as an Archive Conservator. Since 2006 I have worked as a freelance Conservator undertaking conservation work for various clients i

ncluding The Wordsworth Trust, The National Trust, The Mountain Heritage Trust, The North East England Mining Archive, and many private clients. The majority of my work is Conservation but I do also bind notebooks and journals and run bookbinding workshops.

A few before and after shots of one of the latest volumes I've been working on. A treasured possession but with several pages missing and others very badly torn. Previously repaired with pressure sensitive tape. Sewing loose and detached from the case.

Pulled, pressure sensitive tape removed, pages repaired, new endpapers made, resewn, spine of case relined and reattached to textblock.
