We don’t use our biggest double deck unit as often as we once did, but when this big rig pulls onto an event site, you know we mean business!

Accommodating up to 20 people at once, our 8 metre unit is the largest mobile commentary box in the UK.

Designed for the biggest events, with the largest profile. Delivered by event professionals. Doing what it says on the tin!

Bramham 2026, over and out!

What a week we’ve had, getting to witness world-class eventing and show jumping, with fantastic showing classes and family attractions thrown in along the way.

YSS have worked extremely hard, providing all things audio, including the newly added and highly popular chathamfootwear chat stage alongside our wide-area communications equipment with Motorola digital radios and repeaters.

Our team are busy de-rigging and we all deserve a good rest. Many thanks to the whole team for their hard work and commitment to upholding our usual excellent standards of audio quality and event service.

4 hours since the last horse finished cross country at Defender Bramham Horse Trials today, this is all that is left of our vast PA system that covers the park.

3640 metres of loudspeaker cable.
1250 metres of fibre optic cable.
61 loudspeakers.

All packed away and ready for the next job.

See you in the morning, for 4* horse inspection!

Beautiful Bramham 🌅

A lot of work goes into producing this event, not just by the YSS team, but across the board. Contractors, officials, volunteers and most importantly, the Bramham Park staff and team.

’Twas the morning of Bramham, and all through the park,
The tradestands were gleaming from dawn’s early spark.

The course builders paused to admire each rail,
While riders made final plans for the trail.

The arenas stood ready, freshly dressed for the day,
As volunteers smiled, watching crowds find their way.

The lorries stood lined up, horses groomed and prepared,
With excitement and nerves filling the air that was shared.

The ground crew looked on as the first hoofbeats began,
Proud of the work behind every jump, fence and plan.

With Yorkshire sunshine breaking through morning skies,
Bramham is here at last, let the adventure arise. ✨

A late post this evening, but we just had to share this gorgeous sky over Defender Bramham Horse Trials.

Our setup is going well, with two arena PA systems tested and fine tuned, one quarter of the cross country course PA system installed and tested and three smaller systems installed.

Tomorrow we will mostly be dancing around the many traders, who will be arriving and beginning to set up. It’s always such a busy week, but it really is one of our favourites!

Our team are spread far and wide.

Down at Endure24 in Reading, the party is getting started and our RCF sound equipment sound lovely 🎶

A combination of two double 8” subs coupled to our three way active tops on either side of the DJ booth make for a formidable setup.

Fully loaded and heading south!

Two of our commentary units have set off to Reading, along with PA and communications equipment, heading for Endure24.

A full production of RCF line cabinet speakers and complimenting sub bass speakers forms the main audio system with a secondary dance PA system for the party DJ.

One for the techies 💻

We have used Dante a few times in the past, sending and receiving audio over a computer network.

As we gear up for Defender Bramham Horse Trials next week, we spent some time configuring and pre-programming all of our technology ahead of the main install.

Having the flexibility to send audio anywhere on site is a real bonus and allows us to provide vital emergency announcements across hundreds of acres at the press of a button.

13 different network feeds will route our audio around Bramham Park, over a mixture of fibre and wireless 60ghz links.

The Bramham countdown is on!

On a very wet morning in Essex, another one loaded and heading home to Yorkshire 🔌🔋

The last of our new bgg_uk Bruno generators has been collected and will join our ultra-silent fleet. Think of a generator, but as quiet as a whisper 🤫
