Such a lovely session in the studio with this wonderful group from a local W.I.

A few weeks ago, they came along to make their own pottery, with everyone having a go at both wheel throwing and handbuilding. They made bowls on the pottery wheel and handbuilt their own teacup and saucer sets.

This week they came back to bring their pieces to life with colour! They spent the session painting their mugs, bowls, cups and saucers with their own individual designs — from pretty spots and stripes to colourful patterns and bold combinations.

It was so lovely seeing the pieces develop from lumps of clay into completely unique, handmade ceramics. And I think we can all agree they’ve done a fantastic job!

I can't wait to see how they look once they’ve been glazed and fired.
