💥KIDS BOOK GROUP - SUNDAY 20/09💥

Next up for kids book group we have Dead Straight Line by Malcolm Duffy

I’ve already read this (though will of course be reading it again before the big day) and it is absolutely brilliant. I don’t often read a book and then decide it’s one for book group - I like to read the book at the same time as everyone else, and usually for the first time. But I was so taken by this book and story that it was one I really wanted to share with my young book lovers.

Malcolm will be joining us on the day, and I’m hugely looking forward to meeting him and chatting with him.

Next up for book group we have the return of Dial Lane Books royalty himself Matson Taylor who will be joining us to talk about his brilliant third novel - Roman Mornings.

I’ve read this already, though of course will be reading it again before the big day. It’s truly wonderful and the story is an utter Joy to read.

Thanks to everyone that came along to kids book group this afternoon, and big thanks and love to for joining us to talk all about his utterly brilliant debut - Zero Override. It was a pleasure meeting and chatting with you, and I already wait for book 2 next year, and really hope you’ll come back for another visit.

After getting to the end of the book and reading about the code and the secret chapter I immediately went back to the chapter headings and worked the code out, but for some reason I couldn’t unlock this on my phone. As soon as I got home I fired up the laptop and I’ve now read the secret chapter. It’s bloody good 👊🏼

I’m halfway through (of course I’ll finish it - cos that’s what I do init) and I’m absolutely loving it. On the one hand, tech absolutely baffles me, and on the other it absolutely terrifies me. So this book is a real page turner, and I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
