Make shopping at Unwrapped & Refill your Plan A, because unlike Marks & Spencer, our entire shop is refillable.

We don't just have a small section to tick a box, our whole ethos is refill-first 😃

Refill your cleaning liquids, shampoos, bodywashes, yes - but also dried foods, sweet treats, snacks and even frozen goods!

So bring your old M&S bottle with us - or whatever you have to hand!

You'll probably find us much cheaper, too 😉

We're open Tue-Sat 10am to 12.30pmand 1pm to 5pm. (Sadly, unlike M&S, we can't afford to open all hours!)

I've not been sleeping well lately, so even I needed a coffee today 😴 (My first one in more than two years...)

My bean of choice was always Honduras, and luckily I keep some in stock for guests.

We have SPF mini tins, lip balm with sun protection and refillable mineral SP5 25 on its way to us this week.

This low temperature oxygen stain remover is safe for laundry and home destaining.

As Fill puts it: "Take in tannins, stains, mould and mildew."

For machines: Add 1tbsp alongside detergent- works from 40 degrees.

For hand washing: Add 1tbsp and detergent to warm water. Dissolve and rinse, or leave to soak for 30-60mins.

Another arsenal in your natural, plastic free cleaning cabinet!

Oh, and the tubs get sent back to he cleaned and reused. Win win all round 👏

We are now paying almost £100 per month on card machine fees.

That's more than £1,000 a year! 😱

I was speaking to another small business who is paying more than £3,000 annually, just to take card payments.

With a cashpoint just 2 mins' walk away at the small Sains, it's easy to get cash out on your way to visiting the shops on Woodbridge Road.

Please do make an effort to pay with cash at small businesses - and save your card for the big wigs who can afford the fees.

Or, if you simply must pay by card, please consider paying by debit card if you can, as the fee is a little lower.

The king is on cash / cash is king.

"Who likes washing up? Not me!"

Megan shares her quick and easy chickpea curry - and even better, it uses just one pot for minimal after-meal cleaning.

The recipe stars a number of items you can get from our shop:

- Chickpeas (dry or tinned)
- Chopped tomatoes
- Coconut milk
- Spinach
- Spices

Megan says:

"Fry off onions with cumin, turmeric, garam masala garlic and curry powder until fragrant then add tinned tomatoes, coconut milk to your taste.

"Add frozen spinach and leave to simmer for around 15 minutes."

Serve with your rice of choice (also available from our shop) and voilà!

Dinner is served.

Please make us part of your shopping routine 🙏

After my post yestereve, Megan has had a wonderfully busy day today at the shop 🥳

But we need you to make us part of your routine, rather than springing to action when we ask for support.

To help, you could start making a shopping list like this one.

This is how I used to do it before refill shops became my second home.

It had three columns:

1. Refill - I'd get everything I could from the refill shop, expanding the range over time until about 75% of what I bought was from here

2. Grocers - loose fresh fruit and veg from Chris's Fruit, Veg & Flowers a few doors down from us (or Global Fruits Ipswich if I was in town)

3. Other - bits and bobs from other places, ideally locally/secondhand/from an independent business if I could

If you believe in the local high street and supporting your community, you have to make a conscious effort to use it, and set reminders for yourself.

So, please buy what you believe in, and thank you to everyone who came in today ❤️ 👏

The last two weeks have been quiet. Please come back.

I know it has been, to say the least, MOIST, but we are open, well-stocked, and still have bills to pay - regardless of what's happening outside.

If you don't support small businesses on the bad weather days, they mayn't be around on the good ones.

So please, visit your local refill shop this week (and every week!).
