We work hard to produce and source quality plants for your home and garden. Whether you are a plant enthusiast or want a day out with the family we have the products, customer service and facilities you are looking for. Our large covered areas allow you to visit whatever the weather, and you can enjoy a home cooked meal or afternoon tea in our light, bright modern coffee shop. Our 10 acre site is surrounded by beautiful countryside, backing onto woodland and views over the Kelvedon valley.

Whether you’ve spent the morning exploring the garden centre, discovering nature, or making memories together, it’s a lovely excuse to slow down and enjoy a treat the whole family will love.

Carnivorous plants are some of the most fascinating plants you can grow, trapping insects like flies, spiders and beetles! They're always a favourite with children (and plenty of adults too!) thanks to their unusual and seriously cool adaptations.

Most people recognise the famous Venus Flytrap (Dionaea), but there's a whole world of incredible carnivorous plants to discover, including striking Sarracenia 'Maroon' and the amazing Monkey Cups.

Have you got Heuchera growing in your garden?

They're a must-have for garden borders and containers, adding beautiful colour and texture. Their foliage often changes colour with the seasons, keeping your garden looking fresh and interesting.

They thrive in most well-drained soils, but avoid overwatering, as soggy conditions can cause the plant to die. They're happy in both sun and shade, although a brighter spot will usually bring out their most vibrant colours.

If you've visited the Coffee Shop & Restaurant at Perrywood Buckhatch recently, you may have spotted our new family timeline.

The story begins in 1965, when Ben and Clare (pictured) purchased their first piece of land, marking the start of an incredible journey at Buckhatch Nurseries. Nearly six decades later, Buckhatch became part of the Perrywood family, and Ben and Clare, parents of our current Buckhatch Garden Centre Manager, are now enjoying a well-earned retirement.

Recently, they returned to see the timeline, sharing memories and reminiscing about the many wonderful years they spent building Buckhatch alongside their family. It was a pleasure to welcome them back and celebrate the remarkable legacy they created.
