Our Line up for our next tasting!

Next weekends tasting line up includes some truly stellar drams from the Distillery Labels range from Gordon & MacPhail.

Join us for 6 whiskies, totalling over 100 years of spirit maturing under the finest eyes in whisky.

Starting at 7pm on Friday, 28th August we travel from Gordon & MacPhails home in Elgin to one of our most local distilleries in Kennethmont, stopping at these wonderful whisky stops along the way.

For only £25, a seat or tasting pack can be yours, allowing you to join us either in person or on screen in our unique, hybrid style format.

However you choose to join us, the company will be great, the conversation entertaining and above all, the whisky will taste outstanding!

Tasting Events!

Our next two whisky tasting events are live on our website and available to book in the shop as well.

28th August - Join us for an evening travelling from Elgin to Aberdeenshire, stopping off at some tremendous distilleries along the way. You won't want to miss this historic look at Gordon & MacPhail's Distillery Labels collection.

Historically significant, tasty liquid and great chat.

4th September - Mike will delve into the world of Port with this whisky tasting, focussing on the impact port casks have on the whisky filled into them. With six tastings spanning distillery releases and Independent bottlers, a great evening is in store.

Both events are available for our unique hybrid experience as well - we'll post our your whisky and you can join us in the room virtually, using zoom.

This month we're heading somewhere a little different for our Wine of the Month at Inverurie Whisky Shop…

ARMENIA!

We’ve picked two fantastic wines from Yerevan, giving you the chance to discover wines from one of the world's oldest wine-producing regions.

🔴 Yerevan Red
Juicy and beautifully structured, with flavours of dark cherry, raspberry, strawberry and warming spice. A cracking match for charcuterie, cheese or a relaxed evening glass.

⚪ Yerevan Dry White
Fresh, crisp and mineral, with delicate floral notes alongside ripe pear, peach and quince. Perfect with fish, cheese, lighter dishes — or simply well chilled on its own.

Free on Friday night?

We have a great event focussing on Gin at our tasting room in the Foghouse, starting at 7pm!

Gin is much more diverse than a simple spirit-and-tonic combination.

Botanicals, distillation, strength, garnish and mixer can all change the final experience.

Join our upcoming gin tasting at The Foghouse where we are offering a guide to some of our best selling and finest tasting gins.

Down to the last TEN bottles!

Our inaugural bottling of Foghouse: The Secrets of Bennachie Series is now down to its last ten bottles from our small batch release.

The release celebrated the opening of our Foghouse bar and cafe, located in the heart of Inverurie and next door to our new shop premises.

With a design by Steven Shand, a wonderful artist from Edinburgh, we took you on a journey to the secret waterfall on our local hill, Bennachie.

Overlooking the waterfall is the alluring ruins of the Foghouse. A sanctuary built by the Laird of Pittodrie House for times of relaxing, escapism and of course, a wee drink.

With complex flavours coming from three octaves, ex Oloroso, Palo Cortado and Madeira wine, and a marrying in a Bourbon hogshead, this 13 year old was distilled at a distillery not too far from Brora.

Like the waterfall, the name remains a secret.
