Big flavour. Natural strength. The latest batch. 🥃

The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 has arrived at Highland Whisky Shop.

Distilled in 2015 and bottled at 59.8% ABV, this small-batch Speyside single malt has been matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, alongside red wine and virgin oak casks. It is presented with natural colour and is non-chill filtered for maximum flavour.

Expect a rich, sherry-forward dram with aromas of mocha, crystallised ginger and cinnamon, followed by mānuka honey, muscovado sugar, treacle and maraschino cherries. On the palate, cocoa, salted caramel and warmed honey lead into baking spices, blood orange and molasses tart, with glazed blackberries and fig syrup on the finish.

A bold and indulgent release for fans of full-bodied Scotch whisky.

New arrival from Lindores Abbey Distillery 🥃

We’re delighted to welcome 'Nectere', the latest addition to the Lindores Abbey Distillery whisky range.

This beautiful Lowland single malt has been matured in a combination of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Palo Cortado sherry casks, bringing together layers of dark fruit, spice, nuttiness and depth. Bottled at 47.2% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered.

Expect rich aromas of treacle, raisins, red apples, vanilla custard cream and cinnamon spice, followed by mellow molasses, sticky dark fruits, chocolate-covered raisins, nutty macaroons, toffee, pecans and baking spices. A velvety, complex dram with a long, creamy and gently spiced finish.

A new addition to our Scapa range from Orkney has arrived 🌊🥃

We’re delighted to welcome Scapa 21 Year Old to our Scapa collection. Aged for 21 years in first-fill American oak barrels, this annual single batch release showcases Scapa’s tropical, honeyed house style with added depth, elegance and complexity from long maturation. Bottled at 48% ABV and non chill-filtered, it is a refined dram for those who appreciate mature, fruit-led island dram.

On the nose: homemade apricot jam, fresh raspberries, ripe banana and whipped cream, with aromatic oak and a touch of nutmeg. On the palate: fresh peaches and mango wrapped in vanilla cream and condensed milk, followed by buttery shortbread with cardamom and cinnamon spice. The finish is sweet, syrupy and lingering, with rich tropical fruit and gentle oak warmth.

From one of Scotland’s most innovative young distilleries comes another exciting release. 🌊🥃

The Isle of Raasay Hungarian Oak Limited Release is the third expression in the distillery’s Oak Species Maturation Series, exploring the influence of different oak species on their signature island spirit. This release is matured in seasoned ex-Oloroso sherry barriques made from Hungarian Quercus petraea oak from the Zemplén Mountains.

Crafted from both peated and unpeated spirit made with 100% Scottish barley, and bottled at 50% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, this limited release offers remarkable depth and balance, with layers of spice, sweetness and smoke.

Expect notes of orange peel, roasted hazelnut, cinnamon and sponge cake on the nose, followed by ginger, coffee, sherry and dark chocolate on the palate, finishing with lingering sweet orange, warming spice and smoky bacon.

With an outturn of just 8,000 bottles worldwide, this is a fascinating release for fans of innovative cask maturation and distinctive island whisky.
