🎄 A DRAMATIC FAREWELL FROM THE SHORES OF LOCH LOMOND 🎄

Today, we witness a moment that will echo through the glens for generations: Corporal Colquhoun of the Loch Lomond Night Watch Battalion stands for the very last time on his ancestral shore.

After years of heroic service, countless night watches, and one unfortunate incident involving a rogue stag and a missing biscuit, he’s finally being deployed to his new Christmas posting. 🦌

Seen here on the shores of Loch Lomond, soaking up the view, and proudly sporting his blue-and-green Colquhoun tartan with gold trim (because if you’re going to retire, you might as well do it in style!)

As the waves lap gently at his boots, the Corporal raises his head high, knowing that though he leaves the Battalion behind, the spirit of Loch Lomond marches with him.

Meet 💚Captain Cornelius Clover-Schroeder💚 the most distinguished nutcracker this side of the North Pole — and now the unofficial landlord of The Clansman. With his fiery curls, tartan uniform and glittered boots, he’s ready to command Christmas cheer at a moment’s notice.

And with that bold green-and-white kit, he’s clearly been inspired by a certain Glasgow club known for marching proudly to victory. Rumour has it he even hums “You’ll Never Walk Alone” while guarding the mantelpiece… but we can neither confirm nor deny. 😉

But don’t be fooled by the stiff stance — as soon as match day rolls in, the Captain sneaks behind the bar, pours himself a few pints of lager, and settles in to shout at the telly like any proper fan!

Captain Cornelius: cracking nuts, cracking smiles, and now cracking open cold ones while keeping spirits (and football chat in WhatsApp) in perfect formation. 🎄🍺⚽️✨

He has already:
✔️ Conducted a full inspection of the tree (verdict: sparkly)
✔️ Sniffed out suspicious baubles (all approved)
✔️ Issued a stern warning to the owl ornament
✔️ Declared the living room a “no biscuit left behind” zone

With his stylish dalmatian uniform, pink curls of authority, and tartan trousers that say “I mean business,” he is ready to protect this household from rogue elves and unauthorised gift shaking.

Alarmingly, I haven’t really done this much in the past. But it genuinely blows my mind that I still have customers returning to order Dolly Mack bags since I created this page 15yrs ago.

Getting to hear all about their lives, their career changes, monumental hurdles, kids, surgeries, boyfriends now their husbands, losses, graduations etc is just so so lovely.
