It's been a tough old year for everyone and hopefully 2021 can bring better times for us all. Thanks for your support through the year it really does make a difference. Merry Xmas and a Happy New year when it comes but above all Stay Safe so that we can meet up again.

What a difference a day makes! Compare today's rainy weather with the beautiful blue skies of Friday. I took a wee drive down the coast to the land of my origins and had a walk on the stunning beach at St Cyrus before heading into Montrose and Ferryden and after a fine bag of chips for tea I was treated to a glorious sunset over Montrose Basin with the soundtrack of around 20,00 geese (that's what the man from the RSPB said) who were settling down for the night. A great day out in the fresh, crisp autumnal air.

It wasn't quite the sunset I had pictured in my head but still some amazing skies over the Moray Firth last night at Findochty and Strathlene. The seals seemed to like it anyway 😀

3pm - Special photos post for the Candacraig Dram
5.30pm – Beating Retreat performed by The Lonach Pipe Band but will probably be late!!

With the weather forcast looking grim for the east coast last weekend I found myself in Glen Affric some 33 miles to the south and west of Inverness. A misty morning soon gave way to a day of warm sunshine. My first time (but not my last) in Glen Affric which is often described as Scotland's prettiest glen. I don't think I would care to disagree with that judgement, every time you stop there is a photo opportunity although some require a bit of effort (Dog Falls viewpoint for one) the results speak for themselves. 😎
