Hi, we are aquarterpasteight and we design and make modern, stylish home and giftware products from a range of recycled materials. Our aim is not to save the world, but help preserve it by making sensible decisions and by making cool stuff from environmentally responsible materials. Our base is in an old textile mill high up in the clear fresh air of the Pennines in the deepest part of Yorkshire,

England. Currently we have three main materials from which the majority of our products are made. These are: Recycled Circuit Boards, Recycled Juice Cartons and Recycled Acrylic. The Circuit Boards we use are known as "unpopulated" or "virgin", i.e. they have no components attached and so have a flat surface and consequently no undesirable elements. They also have a much more flush/neat finish than the other Circuit Board products out there. The Circuit Boards are either factory rejects or the result of over production and would otherwise have been destined for landfill had we not saved them ! Our Juice Carton material is made through firstly washing the juice cartons and then shredding them into small pieces. Finally, these pieces are compressed and heated which reactivates the ingrained adhesive to form a sheet with an intricate looking but flat surface. Our Recycled Acrylic is made from 100% industrial acrylic offcuts which are collected via a nationwide recycling scheme. After being broken down, the material is subjected to the same industrial process as new virgin material and therefore at first sight, it is difficult to identify as being recycled. We are always looking for, or manufacturing, new materials which fit with our ethos for inclusion here. Keep your eye out for our new product announcements!

According to a study in 2015, between 4.8 and 12.7 million tonnes of plastic enter the ocean each year! These can be large pieces like plastic bottles or smaller microplastics however all types pose a huge threat to marine life! With that in mind we have been hard at work designing these recycled plastic keychains in a variety of marine themes shapes including this submarine, many more designs are on the way, stay tuned! 🐋🐬🐠🌊
