Thank you to all our customers that came in yesterday on Vintage Day! It was madness from start to finish but once again what a great atmosphere!
The weather turned out so much better than expected and it was nice to see town so busy.
Thank you for your patience while our staff worked hard to make sure everyone got served.
We didn't even have time for a photo!

So we keep getting asked about ultra processed, additives, palm oil and sour doughs, so here is the dough-ne low.
All our loaves are made fresh every morning, we use a long proof (not Chorley wood), we use a “brew method”, which is a fermented ye**ty malty liquid. We DO NOT use palm oil, crumb softeners, preservatives, or any other ultra processing methods. Our loaves taste better because they are fresh EVERY day. £1.30 each or 2 for £2.25. Bargain! White, wholemeal and granni available every day, brown available Thursday to Saturday.

Thank you to all our customers that sponsored Philippa for her run in Leeds on 5th April, she managed to raise over £200 to share between A Shining Light and Martin House Children's Hospice.....Next up is the Rotary Club of Howden dawn walk on Sunday 26th April to raise money for a shining light and Candlelighters children's cancer charity 😀

We know the sun is shining but its still chilly so our hot specials today are hot beef and onion only £3.05 or large for £5.05. The soup is chicken.
