Well, we’re still smiling after our 40th birthday weekend! 🎉🥂🍾🪩 And what an amazing weekend it’s been 🥰

We’ve loved hearing stories from those of you who used to come in to spend your pocket money as kids and now bring your own children through the door. And we lost count of how many people said, “It still smells the same!” Apparently, nostalgia has a fragrance… and we’re delighted it’s a good one! 😂

It was also lovely to be reminded that a shop like The Gift Horse is built over decades, with every chapter adding to its story. We’re proud to be part the latest one, while so many happy memories from years gone by continue to live on.

To everyone who’s shopped here over the years, thank you for being part of The Gift Horse story.

A massive thank you to all of our wonderful suppliers, old and new, who donated such fantastic raffle prizes. Thanks to their generosity, and that of everyone who bought a ticket, we’ve raised over £450 for Cancer Research – What a result 🤗 (still a few prizes yet to be won, so call in & try your luck if you’re passing! 😃)

Thankyou also to our fellow Holmfirth businesses for your lovely cards, generous gifts & thoughful well wishes…it’s so very much appreciated! ♥️

We are so excited to celebrate our 40th anniversary weekend with you all this weekend!!! 🎈
We want to say a HUGE thank you to the amazing suppliers who kindly donated some amazing prizes for our charity prize draw 🙏
For £2 a ticket you can try your luck to win some of the goodies we have on offer, and there’s over 130 prizes to be won- something for everyone! 🥹
All proceeds will be going to Cancer Research Cancer Research UK ❤️‍🩹
