You’ve been asking for another Wet Felted Bag on a Ball workshop — so here it is! 👜✨

Join me at Sam Dale & Son Holmes Chapel on Saturday 3rd October, 11am–3pm and create your very own gorgeous autumnal felted bag using rich seasonal colours, beautiful wool, boucle yarns and a ball resist.

This is such a fun technique and you’ll be amazed at how the flat layers of wool transform into a fully formed, sturdy little bag!

Celebrating the Class of 2026

GCSE results day at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School and Sixth Form

“Today is the biggest day of the summer for all of our students who sat their national exams just a few months ago. The day when each of them plot their next steps in their learning journey.

It is always a very emotional day not just for the students but for their families and of course for us as teachers. These students have been with us for the past five years and we care very much for each and every one of them. I’m personally looking forward to welcoming them all into school today.

Staff will be on hand to help and guide students to make their decisions about what next and we hope that a large number of them will sign up to our sixth form college where we offer a wide range of academic A levels alongside vocational qualifications. Our college results last week clearly demonstrated a really strong set of outcomes for students who are able to access a very successful blended curriculum offer as a pathway to university, apprenticeship or employment.

Our Sixth Form College will be holding sign up days from tomorrow and we hope that as many students as possible will come and enroll to continue their learning journeys with us. Once the excitement of today settles down we will be working with students on a one to one basis to make sure that they can access the best possible pathway for them.

So congratulations to the class of 2026. We are immensely proud of every single one of you”
