I am SO over the moon to announce The Celestial Archive ✨ has a new permanent home in Hitchin’s brand new creative hub, Shop Small Studios ✨💕
I’ve got my very own open studio - which means you’ll be welcome to buy directly from me, watch me paint, chat over commission ideas in person, natter about astronomy, or just pop in for a cuppa. I’ll be holding regular workshops and events from the hub itself too, but with this new space the possibilities are truly endless. Not only will you have access to my starry little offerings - you’ll also get to explore the other four open studios too, as well as a beautiful art gallery, a shop stocked with local handmade gifts and loads of creative goings on. It’s going to be spectacular.

We’re opening on Saturday 27 June, just in time for Hitchin Creative Day 🎨

Join us for an afternoon at .art in Hitchin where Lauren from The Celestial Archive will teach you how to paint the Cancer constellation.

Cancer is one of the 12 zodiac constellations, making this a beautiful way to celebrate a birthday - or simply yourself. Get to know this beloved constellation like never before; while we paint we’ll discuss the history and mythology behind this beautiful bundle of stars, while a herbal tea of your choice brews by your side. You’ll take away your own hand-painted piece of the night sky, a detailed History Note on Cancer and a mini easel to display your artwork at home.

Perfect for individuals, friendship groups and children over the age of 8 who are interested in the stars and their stories. No experience necessary.
