Looking back at April, we realise we haven't posted as much as we wanted to (again! 🙈)

As a team of ADHDers and Autists it can be challenging to manage our time and energy. Plus, with our families and other responsibilities, things tend to get a little overwhelming at times.
But we try, so that counts, right? 👀

April was still a great month for us! We attended The London Book Fair, where Ebony joined on a panel for “Indie Publishing: The Creative Heart of the Industry” which was amazing 🤩

Next up was Festival, and we also had the opportunity to meet up with some old and new book friends. These events inspired us and reminded us of the power of the book community.

Thank you to everyone who supports us and understands that sometimes, life happens ❤️Lots of people tagged as there were so many amazing conversations that took place with no time for pics 😊🙌🏾

📣Calling our community of book lovers and advocates for diverse, representative and inclusive children's literature! 📚🧒🏻👧🏾👦🏽

As a tiny independent children's book publisher, we are facing unique challenges in today's world. The cost of living crisis, increasing print prices and slowing sales have put a strain on our ability to continue trading and bring you the stories that ignite young imaginations.

We believe that every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the books they read, and access to quality books that inspire and captivate. So, we're reaching out to our amazing community for help once again.

By subscribing at just £9.99 per month, you can directly support our efforts to keep publishing and sharing stories that leave a lasting impact on young minds, allowing us to produce authentic, inclusive children’s books by emerging writers and illustrators from Black and marginalised identities.

Your subscription will go towards covering the rising costs of production, printing, and other operational expenses that are necessary to keep our books in circulation. There are a lot! For transparency, we’ll breaking down exactly how much our books cost to produce in following posts.
