Bennor Books

Bennor Books Selling books on commission for private individuals, charities, and library authorities online and at fairs. I also offer an assessment service.

I also offer a triage service if you can't face deciding which of your books is worth what! I specialise in books on Northeast England and the Scottish borders, along with the related subjects of mining and railways. However, as I sell on commission, I often have other books on other subjects. I sell solely online and at fairs and do not have a shop as such. However, if there is a particular book

that you wish to inspect, before purchase, please get in touch to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to visit. If you'd like me to assess your collection, I can advise on which are worth selling, which are suitable for a charity shop, and which are simply waste paper for recycling! I charge £20 for this service but this can be deducted from any subsequent sales.

Wandering past the wonderful Cogito Books yesterday, I noticed that they were highlighting books by the shop's two founders, From Picks to Rifles, by Alan Grint, and Enfilade, by Julia Draper. I could not remember Enfilade so, on going home, checked the details online. Cogito are selling it at £7.99, but online it's £86 plus postage! Things are not always cheaper online! Support your local bookshops 😉
