Many moons ago I discovered a book called Sally by an author called Freya North. I devoured it and every time she brought a book out I couldn’t wait to get hold of them.

Over the years Freya and I chatted and I continued to read everything she wrote. She’s an amazing writer and a lovely soul. I went to an event in Lichfield and it was a joy to hear her story and meet her in person.

Signed copies of the first three books in Freya’s latest series - Flora’s House - are now available at the shop and I’m hoping that at some point next year Freya will be putting a date in the diary to come and do an event. I can’t wait!!!

We’ve not done with summer yet! Not a chance!

The Summer Trip by is our Book of the Week.

Isabelle’s books transport you to another part of the world and her wonderful characters and plot will keep you turning the pages faster than you can say ice cream!

What if your life worked out perfectly . . . for someone else?

It’s been 18 years since Ava spent the summer on the Greek island of Corfu, but she has never forgotten what happened during those months - or who she left behind.

Now single, estranged from her family, and preparing to wave her daughter off to university, Ava’s life seems a million miles away from the one she dreamed about as a teenager - a life now being lived by her sister instead.

When Ava decides to return to Corfu for the summer, she knows she must finally face the place and the people that broke her heart. But with old resentments festering, long-buried secrets lurking, and familiar feelings resurfacing, it looks set to be a holiday that will change all their lives forever. . .

Can’t wait to spend time with the fabulous Emma Robinson again next week.

She’ll be in the shop from Wednesday to Saturday pretending to get some writing done but will really be chatting, drinking coffee and eating cake!

I’ll be joining her while Emma’s daughter Scarlett waits on us and Ollie and Ruby run the shop!

If you want to meet Emma, pop in and see her! She’ll be grateful for any excuse to take a break 😜

This little girl had 3 dreams.
1. To be an author
2. To work in publishing
3. To own a bookshop

She worked in book publishing for 13 years before opening a bookshop in January 2026 at the age of 57.

She is the author of 12, soon to be 13 published feel-good, romance novels.

7 years ago her debut novel Amazing Grace was published. In it Grace ended up fulfilling her dream of opening a bookshop.

2 years ago she wrote a book called The Bookshop at the Cornish Cove about a girl who owns a bookshop

Being Mom to Ollie (18) is the best job she’s ever had and they work together in the shop.

They have a rescue English Setter called Roni. He loves the bookshop too!

They live in Hednesford in Staffordshire and the bookshop is less than a mile away from home.

Meet Kim Nash Author (Kim The Bookworm) - owner of Fiction and Fairy Lights.

Kim hopes her parents look down on her from heaven, proud that her dreams came true ❤️
