Setting sail across Amber Valley this August. Four towns. Four adventures.

Ahoy, me hearties! Amber Valley's Pirate Takeover Festival is returning this August, bringing four fantastic free family days out to communities across the borough during the school holidays.

From pirates and performers to live entertainment and plenty of pirate-themed fun, there's something for the whole family to enjoy as pirates take over Ripley, Heanor, Alfreton and Belper throughout August.

📍 Ripley – Wednesday 12 August
📍 Heanor – Monday 17 August
📍 Alfreton – Tuesday 25 August
📍 Belper – Monday 31 August

We'll be sharing all the details you need over the next couple of weeks, from venues and event times to the free entertainment and activities planned in each town.

For now, save the dates – every Pirate Takeover will have its own unique activities and entertainment, meaning every event offers a different family day out. So why not come along to all four?
