GCSE and A-Level results days always get me feeling very reflective on my academic achievements and how differently things have worked out to what I’d imagined. 16 year old me actually knew myself pretty well choosing Textiles and Food technology as my ‘interest’ GCSEs; I just lost my way a little after that with some of the decisions and choices I made 🧁👗 I never had any interest in English beyond loving reading so don’t ask me how on earth I ended up choosing it for Uni 🙈 Setting up this business when I started getting back into sewing will always be the best thing I ever did 🪡🧵🎀

A bit of waffle/‘brain dump’ as I’ve been really guilty of finding IG overwhelming in recent times and having ‘the fear’ of posting (🤦🏻‍♀️) I’m trying to remind myself I started this to be a sort of portfolio of my makes and to chat with likeminded people along the way and that’s what I want to get back to - so the plan is to just post, even if it’s ’imperfectly’ with the IG rules! 🎀🪡🧵 sewing | small business | my sewing area | hobbycraft | self employed life

I might have been extremely unwell with the flu and an infected abscess when we did this (😅) but it’s one of my favourite things we’ve ever done together and a memory I will cherish forever🐰🎀 We’re hoping to also use this for her Rainbows ‘Toy Maker’ badge (alongside some recycling creations!) 🌈

A lovely Easter weekend full of crafts, baking, egg hunts, play park visits, watching Peter Rabbit and a spring roast cooked by the hubby 🐰🐥🍫💛 We’ve had the most horrible flu virus work through us over the last few weeks, I’ve never been so ill! So this was just what we needed & I’m so grateful we were well enough to enjoy it 🌷🌻
