After a nightmare start to the day and miss reading the time for the registration for the seaham club match and missing it 👎🏻👎🏻, the gear was in the car ready to go , so a quick check of tides and conditons on west coast and it looked good for a day on the hounds , and the perfect opportunity to test the newest rod out from the zulcron range, the XT LITE GT .

arived at half tide and was met with bad w**d for the next hour and a half , i was confident that once the w**d died off the fish would run through . Like clockwork the first bite came which resulted in a little schoolie , the blank was off , next cast got a doggy bite which didnt hook up, next cast the first hound was landed around the 5lb mark , which turned out to be the only hound 👎🏻. It then went dead over bottom water and the first hour and half of flood then i had a doggy to finish the session off . My worst session to date on this mark . Turns out the dredger was working and had turned the fishing off . A very hard day in favourable conditions . The rod sat beautifully in the tide all day , handled the only hound with ease , put the baits out comfortably and managed the big washing lines of w**d with no issues , il be back out with it later in the summer to hopefully have a real go at the hounds on another mark .
First impressions very good .
