At Harrogate Chocolate Factory, we're proud to support Learning Disability Week 2026!

As a social enterprise that teaches people with learning disabilities and autism how to make, temper and wrap chocolate as part of a team and also allows us to show our students vital skills and experience that can be used when they are ready to enter the world of work - learning disability week is important awareness week for us to get behind!

This week, we join organisations, families, and individuals across the UK in raising awareness, challenging misconceptions, and championing inclusion for all.

Work experience in the Harrogate Chocolate Factory provides the opportunity for our learners to develop many skills which are pivotal for the workplace.

As part of acquiring knowledge of the bean to bar production process, our chocolatiers learn to follow instruction, comply with health and safety and hygiene practices, work as part of a team and strengthen their manual dexterity.

These experiences glow on their CVs, helping our chocolatiers to take further steps into employment or voluntary work.
