Both of us were born in the 80's and grew up in the 90's, so we remember the Woolworth's Pick 'n' Mix days vividly and this is where our love of Pick 'n' Mix was born. As adults we've never grown out of our love of sweets....I mean, who

wants to grow up anyway, am I right? And so when deciding which industry to go into when starting our small business, confectionary was a no-brainer. Growing up on a council estate, sweets and treats were the absolute highlight of the day. Running home to beg for 10p for a '10p mixup' (hence the name Mixups, see what we did there?) the minute you heard the sweet, sweet jingle of the ice cream truck music in the distance. Or in Lynne's case, standing at the back of the ice cream truck queue and shouting 'does anyone want to buy me some sweeties?'. That's one way to do it, right? Nowadays we don't have to wait for the ice cream truck to roll around to get our sweet fix, we can just jump online and order enough pick 'n' mix delights to last us a month (month = a day. If you don't eat a month's worth of sweets in a day then you're doing it wrong!) Thank you internet! For us sweets are about childhood memories and nostalgia and we want to bring this to you and your family and help invoke those memories and feelings of nostalgia and create new ones with our selection of old and new favourites.

We just wanted to come on and let you all know that we’ve made the difficult decision of permanently closing Mixups due to various personal reasons.

We really want to thank you all for supporting us in the way that you have. It’s been one helluva ride, thank you for coming along on it with us 💯

We’ve learned so much from this experience and met so many wonderful people along the way. Starting this business is one of the best things we’ve done and we can’t wait to take what we’ve learned and pour it into something else when the time is right for us ♥️

For anyone still looking for a pick n mix fix, send us a DM and we’ll recommend another small business doing a similar thing and smashing it. You’ll be in good hands with them, we’re sure of it! 🌟

🔴 Website Closed - Please Read 🔴

Hi guys, we’re sorry for the short notice but we’ve made the decision to close the website until the new year to allow us to catch up with outstanding orders and to give us a well earned break over Christmas.

Kate and I both work full time on top of running Mixups and since we opened our doors in August we haven’t had much of a break so we’re going to take the time to recuperate and come back better than ever in the new year.

Thank you all so so much for your support since we opened. We’re so grateful for every order, like, comment, share, and review. You guys are honestly amazing!

🚚 Local Delivery - Please Read 🚚

It’s Lynne’s birthday weekend and we have some celebrations planned so there’ll be no Local Deliveries until 6pm Tuesday 14th December . Any Local Delivery orders placed between now and 6pm Tuesday will be delivered on Tuesday evening.

Also all of the Christmas products/stock that we have is on the website and once it’s gone it’s gone! You’ve guys have nearly cleaned us out and we couldn’t be more grateful. It’s been absolute mayhem around here since we launched on Sunday. We weren’t expecting a response like this, so THANK YOU! 🙌🏼

We’ll be posting last order dates for Christmas delivery in the coming days.

Head over to the website now. We’ve got something for everyone on there! Lots of festive themed pick and mix but we’ve also given you the option to create your own mixes in some of the products.

Now that’s done we can start the process of putting our Christmas tree up! It’s going to be a long day, he’s 8ft, fat as f*ck and we’ve lovingly named him Bruce the Spruce! 🎄

We’re very aware that we’ve been super quiet across social media lately but we’ve had ALOT going on behind the scenes that we’re really excited about and can’t wait to show you!

Big changes and so much more are coming to Mixups! But don’t worry, how we work will be staying the same and it’s still the same two t***s behind the scenes 😂

We will be closing the website at some point soon- in the week coming we think, for a day or so to make some changes but we’re very aware that Black Friday is coming and we want to make sure that you guys still get the chance of discounted goodies before the website closes.
