We all know how daunting the first day at school can be, or how emotional leaving high school can be. Cuddle Dayz has a friend for just such an occasion. Whether it’s a friend for the first day at school, all dressed up just as your little one, or a memento for the last day of school again dressed as you used to, Cuddle Dayz Teddyz have a place in any such a moment.
Cuddle Dayz Teddyz are the
perfect keepsake for dayz you want to remember with fondness, or even as a sports team mascot. Cuddle Dayz Teddyz are individually unique, handmade, crocheted stuffed animals, all made to order, clothed to your specific requirements, down to style and colour of uniform. Cuddle Dayz was born out of a love for crochet and a stock pile of inherited wool! While looking for a use for the wool, I stumbled upon an Amigurumi pattern for a bunny. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed yarn creatures. My daughter had recently gone to York University and had joined their cheerleading squad and I wanted to make her something special for Christmas. After many painstaking hours of adapting and readapting the patterns I had found, Cheerleading Bunny was finished. Then the idea started evolving into other applications for my new found “creature”. It was soon obvious to me that these teddies could be a lovely First Day at School gift, a Leaving School Keepsake, a sports team mascot, the possibilities were endless. So to begin I decided to take the School Uniform route, and I settled on one for my Niece. And so Cuddle Dayz was started.
