Ok, deep breath here goes.....
As most of you know our shop and surroundings along with Preston Farm behind us has been sold to developers subject to planning permission.
We were notified of this back in the winter and initially asked to vacate the premises at the end of March 2017. Obviously that date has now passed and we are still there, but with the uncertainty of everything we have lost members of staff to new jobs - but can't recruit new ones as we don't know how long the job is going to last!
We are also now in the situation where we need to forward order our winter collections from our suppliers, or we won't get anything - and it's becoming impossible to run the business normally or properly.
Therefore we are sad to announce that Surrey Tack Shack in it's current location of Preston Farm Court will be closing it's doors at the end of May with our last trading day being Saturday 27th.
Please use this month to spend any vouchers you may have won / been given, and pick up any money you are still owed from selling us your second hand items (Any monies not picked up by the 27th will be donated to Chimney Farm dog rescue)
Also please bear in mind that we will obviously have to 'run down' the feed and bedding side of the shop, so let us know if you want anything as there's a chance we might run out of certain items that we usually have in stock.
Thank you all for your custom and the fun times we've had, we have met so many fabulous people and a lot of you have become new friends.
We would also like to thank our landlord Mr White for allowing us to 'give it a go' a few years ago when we were already warned that the area was likely to be developed in the future.
We are still on the look out for a new shop, but it will only be local to where we are now as it just works for everybody!
Meanwhile we have a few ideas that we are excited about, and are planning to get out and about at some shows, so you might bump in to us over the summer flogging all manner of stuff from our crusty old 1978 camper van!
