The penultimate Churchdown Book Fair tomorrow, Sunday 3rd November. We're taking along books and ephemera which have not been to Churchdown before, including some 1920's Gloucestershire Aircraft Company / H H Martyn magazines and a boxful of 1950s "Practical Motorist" magazines also a rare copy of "A Book About Cider and Perry" by C W Radcliffe Cooke dated 1898. Looking forward to meeting up with old and new customers!

Sad news today. After 35 years, the Churchdown Book Fair is finally closing its doors at the end of the year, the last one will be on Sunday 1st December. So the remaining dates for this year are Sunday 1st September, 6th October, 3rd November and 1st December.

Attention all gardeners! The Ledbury Horticultural Society has but one aim - to organise the annual Ledbury Flower Show, held on August Bank Holiday Monday, the same day as the Ledbury Carnival. As a prelude to the Show, the LHS will have a stall at St Katharine's Hall as part of the Ledbury Community Day on Saturday 8th June, when many clubs, societies and organisations gather together at various venues around Ledbury. Show schedules will be available to take away along with a free Geranium plug plant which you can grow on and enter into a special class in the show and the best judged exhibit will be awarded a prize. The schedule covers not only vegetables and flowers, also pot plants, fruit, cookery, photography, handicrafts and floral art.

Looking forward to the Malvern Flea and Collectors Fair on Easter Monday. As well as an interesting selection of older books, we will also have some bric-a-brac items on our stall in the Avon Hall at the Three Counties Showground.

A cracking day at the Churchdown Book Fair yesterday and now looking forward to the Malvern Flea and Collectors Fair next Sunday, Avon Hall, stand 119. We will have a good selection of books covering a wide range of topics, plus our £1 "Rummage" box also four boxes of paperback fiction priced at 4 books for £2.

A brilliant day at the Churchdown Book Fair yesterday! Quite a few traders missing through illness and floods. What was lacking in numbers of punters was made up for with a small number of "regulars" spending well! Hats off to the gentleman who hadn't been to the Book Fair for many years and had driven up from Barnstaple and found two books he had been looking for on our stall. Make a note in your diary for the next CBF on Sunday 4th February.
