Xocolatl Exquisite Handmade Cakes and Chocolates We are Xocolatl (sho-koh-lah-tuhl) a small family run Chocolate company based in Quedgeley, Gloucester.

Why the name Xocolatl for our company, well basically the origin of the word chocolate stems from the Nahuatl Aztec word Xocolatl meaning "bitter water”, a much revered chocolate drink of the Mesoamerica region. We are a husband and wife team, both of us are trained Chefs with a combined experience of nearly sixty years and a real passion for everything Chocolate. All of our chocolates are handmad

e in small batches from the finest Belgian couverture chocolate and are free from any artificial flavours, preservatives and colours.

Let's talk about our new house exclusive single origin Brazilian Jacutinga Coffee, which is grown at high altitude and has a sweet chocolate taste with hints of mango.

It's a direct result of a project sponsored by in the Jacutinga community to fund raised beds whereby their exceptional coffee can get even better - and it did!.

Cupping in the high 80s this beautiful coffee has been dried in the cherry on the new raised beds by Elton and his family.

EA are continuing to work with the rural community of Jacutinga, Poco Fundo, Brazil.

Osmar and his family grow exceptional coffee at around 1200m and it's pure joy in a cup.

This is true farm direct coffee from the wonderful guys in Gloucester.
