It’s exhibition opening weekend at 🌿

Kirsty Crawford is the maker behind Campsie Candles, her first inspiration being drawn from the Campsie Fells. These sculptural candles are pieces that sit somewhere between object and atmosphere. Rooted in the quiet landscapes of Mugdock Country Park, her work draws on the textures of moss, stone, and woodland decay; capturing nature not at its peak, but in its raw, imperfect stillness.

Each candle is hand-poured and built in layers, embedding organic materials and mineral-like textures with Aventurine, Jade, Smoky Quartz and Moss Agate. The result is a piece that feels unearthed rather than manufactured, weathered, grounded, and intentionally imperfect. This exhibition collection introduces deeper green tones, inspired by the dense forest floor. Kirsty’s work explores texture: softness and structure, refinement and erosion, the rough and the smooth. These are not just candles to be burned, they are objects that stand on their own, designed to bring a sense of calm, weight, and connection to the natural world into interior spaces.
