Low key birthday for our Bartholomew Bears this year!

Our Bartholomew Bears have been tired from all of the moving we’ve been doing over the last 12 months and so it’s been low key - no cake (much to the disappointment of Amuseables Birthday Cake who is sitting patiently on the shelf opposite). Instead we welcomed the new team of sushi! Codhi Californian Roll, Coneroi Temaki and little Soyella Edamame Bean joined the party whilst our new Amuseables Life Ring made sure everyone was safe!

A fantastic way to support our local Pipe Band

We’ve had a special delivery today… and we’re officially re‑stocked and ready to deliver our Patron plaques again, we promise we hadn’t forgotten!

For everyone who’s already signed up and completed the paperwork, we’ll be in touch very soon to arrange delivery… and of course to grab that cheeky picture!

This month is Tourette’s awareness month and I will be sharing some posts as most of you know we are a family who deal with Tourette Syndrome with Coprolalia and Coprographia.

Just wanted to give a small insight into what some young people with Tourette Syndrome experience during a typical school day.

Of course, no two people with Tourette Syndrome are the same, but this checklist reflects conversations I've had with many young people, parents, and carers over the years.

What teachers saw was a pupil who forgot homework, arrived late, seemed distracted, or wasn't reaching their potential.

What they didn't see was the battle underneath, the anxiety, the suppression, the lack of sleep, the fear of being judged, and the effort it took just to get through the day.

The teacher's checklist and the child's checklist can look very different.

Both matter.

But only one is usually visible.
