Something very special came into the shop yesterday, its a 66 years old, it’s pension age but it’s not ready to retire,a 1960 vox ac15 and according to the people in the know is a holy grail amp. Now it’s a restoration project and an investment opportunity, it is for sale, but don’t ask me on here how much if you know you know. It will be at the Northern Guitar Shows this weekend in Haydock, come and have a look…. Thanks to danwhitelockjones for the chat and advice about it….

Well it’s been a busy week since I’ve been back from my trip to Chile, headstock breaks, amp repairs, fender refret, broke my glasses, 60s Epiphone resurrection, Yamaha repaint, uke wiring p**n and some side cracks. Wish I could add more photos but the socials won’t let me….

Bit of a real one today.

The rent on my workshop unit has just gone up by £1,000 a year (about a 13% increase). Like a lot of small independent setups, that’s a big hit.

This place means a lot to me — it’s where all the guitar repairs happen, and where I get to work with so many great musicians.

I’m currently speaking with the landlord to try and find a more workable solution, so fingers crossed. Hopefully we can come to an agreement, that’s a lot of setups before I can even make a wage…..

In the meantime, if you’ve been thinking about getting your guitar looked at, now’s a great time to support a small workshop 🙏
